Mt. Lemmon in the Winter...

Last Tuesday, it actually snowed in Tucson. Ok, it was merely a dusting and I didn't get any at my apartment but it snowed nonetheless! Mt. Lemmon is very close to my house and I know they get snow so Austin and I decided to drive up Mt. Lemmon so I could get my winter fix! I was needing some good snow and cold weather! Here's what we found...




SNOW!!!




This was so funny! People were making snowmen and putting them in their trucks to take back to Tucson! We saw truckloads of snow being brought down the mountain...apparently people really wanted snow in their front yards. Although I think they were in for a big disappointment...leave with snow, come home with water...



At the top, there is this great little mountain town. We stopped at a pizza place got some hot apple cider and a pizza and just enjoyed the atmosphere!

My Sister's Big News...

This is my sister and brother-in-law telling their kids that there is going to be an addition to the family. Christian was not so happy about this big news! I think the video is super cute!

"The Lion King"

My friend Austin and I went to Phoenix this weekend to see "The Lion King" It was, by far, one of the most fantastic shows I've ever seen. There's nothing spectacular about the plot...just the movie as we know it. But the movement, color, costumes, and animals are AMAZING! Austin got our tickets in the 15th row in the orchestra level and as we are watching the opening "Circle of Life" this giant elephant comes walking down the aisle next to us. There was a person in each leg and it moved flawlessly! The ensemble singing was flawless. They really captured the African spirit. There would be chorus members all throughout the audience and it literally sounded like they were all standing right next to each other. I wish I could show you my experience but you will have to settle for the video I found on you tube. What a wonderful evening!!
