It's The Little Things in Life...

So school's been pretty rough lately...the kids have been rotten, schedules have been packed, and nerves are running short. Well, today I'm standing in the church kitchen before chapel with some other teachers. We're just chatting when this middle school kid walks by on his way to chapel and takes a total nose dive into the floor! There was no trying to catch himself, I mean it was one of the biggest face plants I've ever seen! Now that...that just made my day!! It was so funny, I'm cracking up just writing about it! We all know that people falling down for no good reason is classic comedy but when it's a middle school kid who has been driving you crazy...it's priceless!

A New Addition

As of Friday night, I have a brand new nephew!! His name is Noah Wayne Stephens. He was 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 inches long! Isn't he cute?!?!?! Because God is awesome, Wayne was given an extra 4 days of leave from Iraq to spend time with the baby! God is good! I can't imagine how hard it will be for Wayne to leave his wife and brand new sweet little baby on Friday so please keep him in your prayers!!

California Trip

Last weekend I got to fly to CA to see my brother Wayne who is home on leave from Iraq. My sister-in-law Veronica was due to have a baby on January 6 so I was hoping to see my brother and see my brand new niece or nephew. Unfortunately, she didn't have the baby before I left to come back to Texas but it's my prayer that she will have the baby in time to spend quality time with Wayne before he heads back to Iraq next Tuesday. My New Car!

So this post is long overdue, but thanks to the "encouragement" I received from my beautiful sister Jessica, I will now finally be able to take the time to update my blog! I got a new car two weeks ago and I LOVE it!! It's a 2003 Chrysler Sebring Coupe! A HUGE upgrade from my 1994 Geo Prizm...although I will miss my Lola! Farewell good friend for I have found a new love!

Mt. Dew Rant

THEY TOOK THE MT. DEW OUT OF THE SCHOOL COKE MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW AM I TO SURVIVE ON THE DAYS I FORGET MY MT.DEW AT HOME (like today?!?!?!) Diet Coke it is!!!!! MAN!!!
