Easter weekend was filled with lots of fun, lots of friends, and best of all a name change! I traveled to Tucson to defend my doctoral dissertation and I passed! I am now Dr. Stephens! After my defense, the committee sends you out of the room to discuss the outcome. After a couple minutes, my advisor walked out and said, "Is there a Dr. Stephens out here?" Best sentence ever spoken! I'm not gonna lie, it felt good!
The weekend was filled with some wonderful quality time with friends as well!

Went to church
Got to love on this sweet boy all weekend!
Caught up with my most wonderful Tucson friends.
And of course, spent time with my fellow Ph.D. gals!
It was a great weekend! Thanks to all!! Goodbye Arizona . . .

I've read this post a couple of times and wanted to comment every time...
I am so proud of you! Since we first met you at Mandie & Josh's wedding we've kind of followed you thru Mandie and then with your blog. It's good to know that there are Christian women like you in this world.
I also love it when people in the arts follow their dreams and share them with others by teaching.
